The spooky season is right around the corner! October 2019 is almost here and has a ton of fun family-friendly events happening all month! If you like good causes, Festivals, good music and community events the month of October is going to be a good one. Clear your calendars and get ready to fill them with the best events Milton has to offer!

Milton Outdoor Pick Up Soccer Charity BBQ & Social in Support of ICD

October 3rd

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Located at Clarke Neighbourhood Park (North), 1170 Laurier Avenue, Milton, ON. If you’re looking for a fun event to bring you closer to the community, come to the pick-up soccer charity event! With Barbeque and pick-up soccer going on, this event will be jam-packed full of fun! Support this charity event in support of ICD.

Springridge Harvest Festival

October 5th

10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Springridge Farm Harvest Festival is back! Bring the whole family, friends and anyone who wants to have a good time! The Springridge Farm BBQ Barn is open for Harvest Festival. Menu items include grilled-to-perfection hotdogs, sausages, corn on the cob, apple chips and the Little Farmer Lunch combo for kids.

Spooktacular Halloween

10:00 am – 4:00 pm

During the month of October 2019, Mountsberg undergoes a ghoulish transformation! Pumpkin Passport to Discovery, Meet Mountsberg’s Owls Vultures & Snakes, Hay Play Area and Wagon Rides!

Hops & Harvest Festival

October 5th – 6th

11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Hops & Harvest is an autumn festival that features breweries, food vendors, and artisans while celebrating the great outdoors, providing a unique opportunity to hike the trails, admire the scenery and enjoy craft brews and seasonal eats. Located at 5234 Kelso Rd, Milton, ON.

Purchase advance tickets before Thursday, October 3 to receive one beer glass, beer token and chairlift ride. Children will receive a chairlift ride.

Classic and Iconic Car Toy Drive

October 6th

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Another Classic Milton car show is back and better! Free entry into the park, free tea/coffee and donut for the first 180 people. Draw, prizes and a visit from Santa Claus! With everything down to musical entertainment, it is sure to be a fun-filled day!

Volleyball for Deaf Children

October 12th, 26th

12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

A non-competitive supportive environment for children that are looking to try a new sport and learn! This is an ongoing program. Pakman Milton Volleyball offers SPIKES – learn-to-play volleyball in Milton, Ontario, Saturdays 12 to 1 pm. Interpreter on site. Located Ernest C. Drury,  255 Ontario Street South.

 

Milton Young Professionals Learning Series

October 16th

5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

If you are an aspiring entrepreneur and want to learn some insights and proven methods of a multi-award winning entrepreneur, then inspirational speaker Daniel Lewis will be coming to Milton to pass on the wisdom he has for those that crave more. So don’t miss out and come to 555 Industrial Drive on October 16th at 5:00 pm!

Fright Night at Mountsberg

Are you afraid of the dark? Prepare for a night to remember at Mountsberg with a hair-raising walk through the haunted barn, spine-chilling ghost stories in the historic Cameron House and a shudder-inducing encounter with our very own snakes and owls.

 

Tiny Tots Trick or Treat in Downtown Milton 2019

October 26th

10:00 am – 12:00 pm

 

Celebrate Halloween in Downtown Milton! Children (and their parents) are invited to wear their costumes and collect goodies at participating businesses. There will be fun activities, lots of treats, popular characters, and more. Located in Downtown Milton, at Main and Martin Street! Halloween October 2019 is going to be a great one!

 

Milton Volunteer Fair

October 26th

10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Find meaningful opportunities to get involved in your community! Milton Volunteer Fair is Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Milton Sports Centre,  Banquet Room, 605 Santa Maria Blvd, Milton. This is a great chance to go out and find somewhere to volunteer for a good cause. Or even recruit volunteers that want to make a difference.

Season’s End

October 28th

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Milton’s Horticultural Society is having a meeting this month to discuss successes and failures for this years season. Meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Milton Sports Centre, 605 Santa Maria Blvd., Milton (off Derry Road, rear entrance). Show Exhibits to be entered between 6:15 and 6:50 pm on the evening of the show. Exhibits to be picked up at the conclusion of the meeting. Make sure to come out and support!
